Ava Sin ties doubles record as Redhawks defeat Tigers 12-1 in five innings

Senior Ava Sin tied the Seattle University softball single-game record with three doubles, leading the Redhawks to a 12-1 victory over Pacific at Bill Simoni Field on April 3. The game ended after five innings and marked the Redhawks’ second win of the series.

Sin contributed six runs batted in and scored two runs, recording three hits in four at bats. Junior Mikee Morris also had a strong performance with three hits and one stolen base. Junior Karen Spadafora added two hits, including her seventh home run of the season, finishing with five runs batted in.

Junior Avari Morris collected two hits and matched her career high by scoring three runs. Senior Taylor Fitch had two hits and scored twice, while junior Sophia Kissling matched both Fitch and Sin with two runs scored. Senior Brooklyn Jones also recorded a hit during the contest.

Pitcher Berkley Vance guided Seattle University from the circle, pitching all five innings while facing twenty batters. Vance struck out three players and allowed only three hits and one run for her sixth win of the season.

The Redhawks offense totaled twelve runs on fourteen hits without committing an error for the second consecutive night. It was their seventeenth game this season achieving ten or more hits. The team will return to Bill Simoni Field for the series finale tomorrow at noon.
