On Saturday, Dec. 6, the UW-Platteville Pioneers, featuring former Ballard High School standout Samuel Crocker, were defeated 35-24 by the Bethel Royals in the NCAA Division III Football Championship.

The matchup occurred at Royal Stadium at noon and marked the first tournament meeting between the UW-Platteville Pioneers and the Bethel Royals.
