On Saturday, Nov. 22, the Whitworth Pirates, featuring former Ballard High School standout Finn Liese, fell 18-16 to the Chapman Panthers in the NCAA Division III Football Championship.

The contest was held at Whitworth Pine Bowl at noon and marked the first tournament meeting between the Whitworth Pirates and the Chapman Panthers.
