FIU Golden Panthers fall to Florida Gators 11-4 with Woodward on the mound

Former Bishop Blanchet High School athlete Jarek Woodward and his FIU Golden Panthers were defeated 11-4 by the Florida Gators in their NCAA Division I baseball matchup on Wednesday, Feb. 25, at 6 p.m.

Condron Family Ballpark hosted the contest, marking the second meeting this season between these teams. The Golden Panthers had previously lost to the Gators 17-11 in a game on Tuesday, Feb. 24.

Pitching for FIU, Woodward gave up two earned runs in 1.2 innings and registered two strikeouts.

FIU is set to face Stony Brook Seawolves next at FIU Baseball Stadium on Friday, Feb. 27, at 6 p.m.
