Sam Merriman, a former standout at Bishop Blanchet High School and current player for the Montana Grizzlies, is set to participate in the NCAA Division I FCS Football Championship.

The Montana Grizzlies enter the tournament as the No. 3 seed and will face the No. 14 seed South Dakota State Jackrabbits in their opening game.

The first matchup is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 6, at 1 p.m.
