Former Roosevelt standout DJ Symons appears in Division II softball matchup on March 13

DJ Symons, once a standout at Roosevelt High School, took part in a Division II NCAA softball contest with her Biola Eagles team on Friday, March 13, at 1:30 p.m. The Eagles fell short, 2-1, against the Hawaii–Hilo Vulcans in the matchup.

Freedom Field served as the site for the game, which marked their second meeting with the Vulcans this season. Earlier that day, the Eagles secured a 4-0 win in their previous encounter on March 13.

Symons surrendered one earned run through 10 innings, tallying two walks and eight strikeouts.

The Eagles are set to play next at noon, Saturday, March 14, at Freedom Field versus the Hawaii–Hilo Vulcans.
