Seattle University announced on May 7 that four members of its men’s golf team have received West Coast Conference All-Academic honors. Will Koch was named to the WCC All-Academic team, while Ben Ragland, Kevin Li, and Walker Lamb earned honorable mention for their academic achievements.
The recognition highlights the academic success of student athletes in addition to their athletic performance. Koch, a junior majoring in finance, has now been named to his conference’s All-Academic team for three consecutive years, including previous Academic All-Western Athletic Conference awards in 2023 and 2024.
Ragland, a senior graduating with a degree in communication and media, also receives his third academic honor after being named Academic All-WCC in both 2023 and 2024. Li, a junior majoring in business economics, earns his second collegiate academic award following an Academic All-WAC honor last year. Lamb is recognized with his first collegiate honor; he is a sophomore studying business economics.
To qualify for these honors, student athletes must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average (GPA), be at least sophomores with one prior year at their institution, and participate in at least half of their team’s competitions.
These awards continue the postseason recognition for Seattle University’s men’s golf program as its athletes demonstrate achievement both on the course and academically.
