On Friday, March 6, the Grinnell Pioneers, with former Seattle Academy Of Arts And Sciences standout Carson DeBruhl on the roster, were defeated 118-86 by the John Carroll Blue Streaks in the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament.

The contest, held at the Shirk Center at 4:10 p.m., marked the team’s first meeting with John Carroll in the tournament.
