Junior Hana Moll was named the National Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Year on Mar. 23 by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. Moll earned this recognition after winning her third NCAA title in pole vault, and her second indoors, on Mar. 14 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

The award marks the second consecutive time that Moll has been honored as National Field Athlete of the Year, following her selection for the 2025 outdoor season. Additionally, it is three straight honors for the Moll twins as a pair; Amanda Moll received last year’s indoor season award.

During this indoor season, Hana Moll won every competition she entered. She began with a 16-foot clearance at the UW Invitational, making her only the second collegiate woman to reach that height along with her sister Amanda. At this year’s NCAA Indoor Championships, she set a new meet record by clearing 15-9 3/4—surpassing a previous mark she shared with Amanda by more than four inches.

Moll’s performance at these events stands out globally: her 16-foot jump is currently unmatched worldwide in 2026 and her meet-winning clearance ranks third-best so far this year.

Last week, before receiving national honors, Moll was also named West Region Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Year. The twin sisters are now in Australia and will compete at the Maurie Plant Meet against elite athletes on Mar. 28.

The broader impact of these achievements highlights continued excellence from Washington Huskies Track & Field athletes at both national and international levels.
