Seniors Lilly Tubbs and Emma Schrady of the Washington Huskies women’s gymnastics team were recognized by the Big Ten, according to a March 18 announcement from the conference.
The recognition highlights the achievements of both athletes during their senior season. Tubbs was named to the All-Big Ten Second Team for her consistent performances in the GymDawgs lineup. This season, she competed on beam for the first time in her collegiate career, scoring a 9.925 on Senior Night against Sacramento State and a 9.900 in a subsequent meet. Her efforts contributed to Washington achieving its highest beam score since 2020 with a 49.525, marking only the second time in program history that score has been reached. Tubbs also excelled on bars, earning four scores of 9.900 or higher this season, including a season-high 9.925 at the Big 4 meet. She holds career highs of 9.875 on vault, 9.950 on bars, and 9.925 on beam.
Schrady received an All-Big Ten Sportsmanship Award for her leadership and support despite starting the season with an injury. Serving as team manager, she supported practices, coordinated equipment, and helped foster a positive environment for her teammates. Schrady recorded a career-high of 9.750 on vault during her competitive career.
The Huskies will next compete in Champaign, Illinois at the Big Ten Championships scheduled for Friday, March 20 at 4:00 p.m.
