The Washington Huskies baseball team will continue its four-game series against Seattle University on Tuesday, April 14, at Bannerwood Park in Bellevue. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+ with live statistics available through HuskyStats.com.

This matchup is significant as it marks the third meeting between the two teams this season and comes amid a strong run for the Huskies, who have demonstrated notable performances both offensively and defensively. Washington currently leads the Big Ten in triples per game and ranks among national leaders in several pitching categories.

Jackson Hotchkiss has been a standout for Washington, recently hitting his 10th and 11th home runs of the season against Minnesota. He leads the team in batting average (.361), slugging percentage (.773), on-base percentage (.435), home runs (11), and multi-hit games (12). Hotchkiss is ranked sixth in total home runs within the Big Ten conference. The Huskies’ pitching staff also ranks highly nationally, including 57th in strikeout-to-walk ratio (2.36) and 67th in WHIP (1.44).

Noah Kenney was named to Baseball America’s National Team of the Week after recording a career-high 14 strikeouts over seven innings during a shutout win against Valparaiso. Kenney has pitched more than four innings in each outing this year and has received multiple award recognitions this season.

Washington remains unbeaten at Husky Ballpark since joining the Big Ten Conference last year. The team’s recent offensive output includes an 11-7 victory over Minnesota led by Hotchkiss’s leadoff home run, contributing to their record of being undefeated when leading after six innings or scoring at least ten runs.

Eddie Smith is now serving his second season as head coach after joining from Utah Valley University on July 9, 2024. Looking ahead, Washington will host Michigan State for a three-game series beginning Friday, April 17.
