The West Coast Conference announced on May 6 that Jacob Kang and Kevin Li from the Seattle Redhawks have earned spots on the WCC Men’s Golf All-Conference Team Honorable Mention, following their strong performances at the recent WCC Championship.
Kang, a freshman, achieved his best career performance by finishing third in the championship. He shot a career-best round of four under par (67) with six birdies, totaling six under par (210) for the tournament. This capped off a solid debut season for Kang, who previously secured his first top-10 finish in February at the Bill Cullum Invitational and was Seattle’s top finisher with a top-15 placement at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate later that month.
Li, a junior, received his first WCC honor after previously being recognized multiple times during Seattle University’s time in the Western Athletic Conference. In both his freshman and sophomore years, he was named to the All-WAC First Team and also earned titles such as WAC Individual Champion and Freshman of the Year in 2024. He was also named WAC Golfer of the Month twice in 2025. In this year’s conference championship, Li finished seventh after moving up from eighteenth place thanks to a final round score of three under par (68), which included six birdies and an eagle.
The announcement highlights achievements by both athletes over their seasons with Seattle University men’s golf team. The university encourages fans interested in supporting student athletes to consider making donations through its athletics department website.
