Former Bishop Blanchet High School standout Jarek Woodward took the field with the FIU Golden Panthers on Tuesday, March 10, at 7 p.m. The team was defeated by the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles, 11-6, in an NCAA Division I baseball game.

The matchup, held at FIU Baseball Stadium, marked the first meeting between the Golden Panthers and the Coast Eagles this season.

Woodward pitched 2.1 innings, allowing five earned runs with one walk.

The Golden Panthers are set to play next on Friday, March 13, at 6 p.m. at Nick Denes Field, taking on the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers.
