Hana Moll broke her own NCAA outdoor pole vault record and Alex Rhodes ran under 45 seconds in the 400-meter dash during the final day of competition for Washington at the Mt. SAC Relays, according to an April 18 announcement.

These performances are significant as they highlight both individual achievements and national-level competitiveness for Washington athletes. Moll’s and Rhodes’ results also contribute to strong showings by other Husky track and field members at major meets.

Moll, a three-time NCAA Pole Vault Champion, cleared 15 feet, 9 inches to win the event at Mt. SAC Relays. This mark is now the top NCAA outdoor performance this season by eight inches, broke the meet record, and tied the Hilmer Lodge Stadium record set by Olympic gold medalist Ekaterina Stefanidi in 2021. She attempted a new lifetime best but did not clear it on this occasion.

Rhodes recorded his personal best of 44.94 seconds in a competitive race that included U.S. Olympian Vernon Norwood, finishing third overall and moving to No. 3 nationally this season among collegiate athletes. He joins Ja’Warren Hooker (44.78; 2000) and Jordan Boase (44.82; 2008) as one of only three Huskies with sub-45 second times in school history.

At the Bryan Clay Invitational, Chloe Foerster ran a season-best time of 4:08.64 in the women’s elite section of the invitational heats for the 1,500 meters while Mia Cochran set a personal best of 4:09.95—moving up to sixth all-time at Washington and into this year’s national top-20 rankings.

Other notable performances included Jimmy Rhoads winning men’s pole vault with an effort of over eighteen feet; Amanda Moll returning from injury to clear over fourteen feet; Bodi Ligons running his fastest time this year in hurdles; Tyler Bilyard setting a personal best (3:37.99) along with Reuben Reina (3:37.32), both achieving top-20 times nationally for men’s middle distance events.

The depth shown across multiple events demonstrates Washington’s continued strength on both regional and national stages heading into postseason competitions.
