Noah Kenney was named to the Baseball America Week 8 National Team of the Week, the organization announced on Apr. 7. Kenney is one of four pitchers and thirteen players recognized from across the country.

The recognition comes after Kenney’s performance against Valparaiso, where he led the Huskies to a 6-0 shutout win with a career-high fourteen strikeouts. This achievement contributed significantly to his selection for the weekly honor.

During his third win of the season, Kenney limited Valparaiso batters by never facing more than four in a single inning and delivered seven innings without allowing a run. He gave up only four hits and two walks during his outing while helping secure the shutout for Washington.

This marks Kenney’s second award recognition this season; earlier, he was included on the College Baseball Foundation’s Pitcher of the Year watch list.

The broader impact of such recognitions highlights individual achievements within collegiate baseball and underscores strong performances that can influence team success throughout the season.
