Oregon defeated the No. 20 Washington softball team 3-1 on April 19, completing a series sweep at Jane Sanders Stadium in Eugene.

The loss leaves Washington with a record of 34 wins and 12 losses overall, and a conference record of 15-3 in the Big Ten. The game saw Oregon take an early lead with a solo home run in the third inning, followed by additional solo homers in the fifth and sixth innings.

Washington managed three hits over the first three innings but left five runners stranded on base. Giselle Alvarez contributed two hits—a single and a double—and drew a walk, ending her series performance at four hits out of nine at-bats. Melody Acevedo hit her third home run of the season in the top of the seventh inning for Washington’s only run.

The Huskies will return to Husky Softball Stadium for their final home stretch, beginning with a three-game series against UCLA starting Friday, April 24.
