The Seattle University women’s golf team was recognized on May 4 with several student-athletes earning postseason academic honors from the West Coast Conference. Jeanne Padillo was named to the 12-member WCC All-Academic Team, while Melissa Gilloz, Aaryanna Morris, and Tsara Ralamboarison received honorable mention.

This marks the first time since 2012 that Seattle University competed in the West Coast Conference as a full member. The recognition highlights both athletic and academic achievements among team members.

Padillo, a sophomore majoring in psychology, earned her first collegiate athletics academic award. Fellow sophomore Gilloz is a business and economics pre-major and also received her first such honor. Senior Morris will graduate with a double major in management and marketing; she previously was named Academic All-Western Athletic Conference as a freshman. Senior Ralamboarison is graduating with a degree in finance and has now earned three collegiate academic awards, including College Sports Communicators Academic All-District and Academic All-WAC during the 2023-24 school year.

To qualify for these honors, student-athletes must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, be at least sophomores with one previous year at their institution, and participate in at least half of their team’s competitions.

The recognitions reflect continued commitment to both academics and athletics within the program.
