U.S. Representative Pramila Jayapal, who represents Washington’s 7th district in Congress, addressed a range of issues in a series of tweets posted on November 18, 2025. Jayapal’s posts covered community engagement, legislative transparency regarding the Epstein Files, and criticism of immigration enforcement practices under former President Donald Trump.

On November 18, Jayapal shared her experience attending a local interfaith event, stating, “Yesterday, I was honored to join @FaithActionWA’s annual dinner. It was such a beautiful event that showcased the incredible diversity of faith we have in our community. When we unite together, our spirit cannot be broken.” (November 18, 2025)

Later that day, she commented on legislative efforts related to the release of documents associated with Jeffrey Epstein and criticized political opponents’ stances: “Let’s be clear: Trump changing his tune about releasing the Epstein Files isn’t about justice — it’s an admission that he and Republicans are going to lose this vote. I’ll be voting YES on legislation to release the files and give the American people transparency.” (November 18, 2025)

In another post published late at night on November 18, Jayapal addressed concerns over immigration enforcement actions during Trump’s presidency: “Trump’s ICE is racially profiling U.S. citizens. They have no respect for the law or for our civil rights.” (November 18, 2025)

Jayapal has served as the representative for Washington’s 7th district since replacing Jim McDermott in Congress in 2017 and previously served in the Washington State Senate from 2014 to 2016. Born in Chennai in what was then Madras State in India in 1965, she currently resides in Seattle. Her academic background includes degrees from Georgetown University and Northwestern University.
