U.S. Representative Pramila Jayapal, who represents Washington’s 7th district in Congress, addressed a range of national and international issues in a series of posts on December 12, 2025.
In her first post at 18:42 UTC, Jayapal summarized several policy developments and ongoing debates: “Trump tries to ban state AI laws, more deaths in ICE custody, Americans want ACA tax credits extended, and the fight to ban members of Congress from trading stocks. Here are three bad things and three good things you need to know to stay engaged and resisting! https://t.co/yoB410aVyV”
Later that day at 19:19 UTC, she reported on federal disaster assistance for Washington State following severe weather events: “NEW: The admin has approved @GovBobFerguson’s request for an emergency declaration, meaning WA will have more federal resources as we respond to & recover from devastating storms and floods. I will continue working with national and local partners to help folks across our state.”
Addressing global humanitarian concerns at 20:20 UTC, Jayapal highlighted the crisis in Sudan: “Sudan is the site of the worst humanitarian crisis we have ever seen. More than 30 million people are in dire need of assistance. The United States must begin acting with urgency to stop the bloodshed, get aid into the country, and save countless lives. https://t.co/i77tfvMGSM”
