Rep. Pramila Jayapal, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Washington’s 7th district since 2017, has addressed multiple issues on her social media platform, including legal efforts related to former President Donald Trump and concerns about the current President’s health.

On December 10, 2025, Jayapal wrote: “I’m still fighting to hold Trump accountable for inciting an insurrection and trying to overthrow our democracy. My January 6th lawsuit is the final opportunity in the courts to ensure Trump faces consequences, so nothing like this ever happens again.”

Later that day, she posted: “The President is clearly very unwell.” This comment did not specify which president was being referenced.

In another post from December 10, Jayapal addressed ongoing environmental concerns in Washington state: “WA: Ongoing major flooding across the Northern Cascades and Puget Sound regions is expected to worsen, potentially reaching record levels this week. Jayapal succeeded Jim McDermott in Congress and previously served in the Washington State Senate from 2014 to 2016. Born in Chennai in 1965, she currently resides in Seattle and holds degrees from Georgetown University and Northwestern University.
