Pramila Jayapal has represented Washington’s 7th District since 2017 after serving in the Washington State Senate between 2014 and 2016. Born in Chennai (formerly Madras State) in 1965, she is currently based in Seattle. Jayapal holds degrees from Georgetown University and Northwestern University.
