Rep. Pramila Jayapal, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Washington’s 7th district since 2017, addressed several national issues in a series of posts on December 12, 2025.

In her first post at 14:39 UTC, Jayapal criticized former President Donald Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., stating, “As Trump and RFK Jr. push deadly anti-vaccine conspiracy theories, measles is making a comeback across America. People will die because of this. Trump’s administration must stop lying and follow the science.”

Later that day at 15:48 UTC, she turned her attention to ride-sharing companies, writing, “Uber, Lyft, & other app-based corporations can take up to 70% of a ride’s cost for their own profit, leaving drivers with next to nothing. They’re ripping off employees and price-gouging consumers — all while raking in billions. I’m introducing a bill to fix this broken system.”

At 16:27 UTC on the same day, Jayapal commented on the release of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein by saying, “These images are repulsive. The Trump administration needs to stop their cover-up and release ALL of the Epstein Files.”

Pramila Jayapal has served as the representative for Washington’s 7th District since replacing Jim McDermott in 2017 and previously held office in the Washington State Senate from 2014 to 2016. Born in Chennai in 1965 and currently residing in Seattle at age 57, Jayapal holds degrees from Georgetown University (1986) and Northwestern University (1990).
