U.S. Representative Pramila Jayapal, who represents Washington’s 7th district in Congress, posted a series of statements on her social media account on February 22, 2026, addressing federal law enforcement accountability and ongoing investigations.

In an early post at 14:30 UTC, Jayapal wrote: “wow. https://t.co/LygOM7DYSZ”.

Later that day at 19:22 UTC, she stated: “ICE and CBP must be held accountable. https://t.co/fVXcY4d324”.

By the evening, Jayapal announced her plans to revisit unredacted government documents related to Jeffrey Epstein at the Department of Justice. She posted at 23:09 UTC: “Tomorrow, I’ll be going to view the unredacted Epstein Files again at the DOJ. If there are files you want me to review, comment with the EFTA number below. We cannot and will not let this massive cover-up continue. https://t.co/9gkxEnKDF3”.

Pramila Jayapal has served as a U.S. Congresswoman for Washington’s 7th district since 2017 after succeeding Jim McDermott; she previously served in the Washington State Senate from 2014 to 2016. Born in Chennai in 1965 and currently residing in Seattle, Jayapal holds degrees from Georgetown University and Northwestern University.
