U.S. Representative Pramila Jayapal, who represents Washington’s 7th district in Congress, posted a series of statements on September 10, 2025, criticizing U.S. military support for Israel and advocating for legal accountability in the Jeffrey Epstein case.
In a tweet posted at 14:57 UTC on September 10, Jayapal wrote: “The Israeli government continues to use American-supplied weapons to violate international humanitarian law and kill thousands of innocent civilians. The United States’ complicity in this has to end. We must stop supplying Israel with offensive weapons in order to save lives.”
Later that day at 16:34 UTC, she added: “The genocide that we are seeing in Gaza is not a passive act. It is being perpetrated by the Israeli government — and the United States, by sending them $30 BILLION of weapons since the start of this war, is complicit. This can end. This must end. Block the bombs.”
In a third post at 17:52 UTC, Jayapal shifted focus to another topic involving Jeffrey Epstein’s criminal network: “I brought up an amendment to ensure that every person involved in Epstein’s abuse be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Thank you, @RepThomasMassie, for voting not to table this amendment — something all Members should be able to get behind. Release all of the files.”
Pramila Jayapal has represented Washington’s 7th District in Congress since 2017 after previously serving in the Washington State Senate from 2014 to 2016. She succeeded Jim McDermott and resides in Seattle. Born in Chennai (then Madras State) in 1965, Jayapal graduated from Georgetown University with a BA and later earned a degree from Northwestern University.
