U.S. Representative Pramila Jayapal, who serves Washington’s 7th district in Congress, made a series of posts on July 23, 2025, criticizing former President Donald Trump’s appointees and calling for the release of files allegedly linking Trump to Jeffrey Epstein.

In her first post at 19:20 UTC, Jayapal wrote: “Trump’s appointees have ZERO IDEA what they are doing or what their jobs are. Breathtaking and staggering incompetence. I truly could not believe what I was hearing.”

Five minutes later, she added: “And now we know exactly what Trump has been so afraid of. Release the files.”

Later that evening at 21:06 UTC, Jayapal posted: “BREAKING: The Justice Department told Trump that his name is in the Epstein Files. The public deserves answers. Release all of the files NOW.”

Pramila Jayapal has represented Washington’s 7th District in Congress since 2017 after previously serving in the Washington State Senate from 2014 to 2016. She succeeded Jim McDermott as U.S. Representative and currently resides in Seattle. Born in Chennai in 1965, Jayapal holds degrees from Georgetown University and Northwestern University.
