She wrote, “Republicans keep changing their minds about whether or not to finally pay TSA agents. Democrats have been consistent since day one. We want to immediately fund TSA, FEMA, and the Coast Guard. But we will not give a penny more to ICE and CBP, which need to be dismantled.”
Later that evening at 19:31 UTC, Jayapal commented on the issue of immigration detention with a brief statement: “Immigration detention is no place for a child.”
