U.S. Representative Pramila Jayapal, who serves Washington’s 7th district in Congress, posted a series of statements on February 24, 2026, criticizing former President Donald Trump and his administration’s actions.

In her first post at 00:20 UTC, Jayapal wrote: “Instead of listening to Trump’s lies, I’ll be speaking at the People’s State of the Union. Stay tuned.”

Later that night at 01:00 UTC, she stated: “This administration isn’t going after the ‘worst of the worst’ — they are going after anyone who dares to disagree with them. As Trump continues to undermine the Constitution, I will continue to raise the alarm and stand up for our free speech protections.”

In a third post at 02:05 UTC, Jayapal addressed financial issues related to Trump: “From hotels and golf courses abroad to pushing his TrumpCoin — Trump has profited more than $1.8 BILLION since coming into office. Donald Trump is using this presidency to make himself even richer. The corruption needs to end.”

Pramila Jayapal has represented Washington’s 7th District in Congress since 2017 after previously serving in the Washington State Senate from 2014 to 2016. She was born in Chennai (formerly Madras), India in 1965 and currently resides in Seattle. Jayapal earned her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and later completed further studies at Northwestern University.
