U.S. Representative Pramila Jayapal, who serves Washington’s 7th district, posted a series of messages on social media expressing her support for the Seattle Seahawks and highlighting her attendance at a local community event.

On January 25, 2026, Jayapal shared her enthusiasm for the Seattle Seahawks before an important game, stating, “Ready to cheer on our Seahawks! Let’s win this one and take it all the way to the Super Bowl! https://t.co/XYvQH91lKm”. Later that evening, following the team’s victory, she celebrated their success with another post: “The Seahawks are SUPERBOWL BOUND!!! What an incredible game. Let’s take it all the way, Seattle!!! https://t.co/Up5mjvSfLK”.

In addition to her remarks about the football team, Jayapal attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony at White Center HUB. She wrote on January 26, 2026: “It was wonderful to be able to be at White Center HUB for their ribbon cutting—I was proud to secure $4 million to support this project. This will be a safe & welcoming space for the community and house dozens of our neighbors. I look forward to seeing all the good it will https://t.co/WMJQzA0rJb”.

Pramila Jayapal has represented Washington’s 7th District in Congress since 2017 after previously serving in the Washington State Senate from 2014 to 2016. She succeeded Jim McDermott as representative of the district and currently resides in Seattle. Born in Chennai in 1965, Jayapal holds degrees from Georgetown University and Northwestern University.
