In a tweet at 20:35 UTC, Jayapal wrote: “SCOTUS allows racial profiling, Trump screws over airline passengers, COVID vaccines protected in WA, and progress on banning congressional stock trading. Here are 3 bad things and 3 good things you need to know to stay engaged and keep resisting!”
Later that evening at 21:22 UTC, she stated: “Trump is tanking the economy.”
At 21:42 UTC the same day, Jayapal commented on a legal decision involving child removals by posting: “This is a win for the rule of law, and I hope to see a judge permanently stop these lawless removals of children.”
Pramila Jayapal has represented Washington’s 7th District in Congress since 2017 after previously serving in the Washington State Senate from 2014 to 2016. She was born in Chennai in 1965 and currently resides in Seattle. Jayapal holds degrees from Georgetown University and Northwestern University.
