U.S. Representative Pramila Jayapal, who serves Washington’s 7th district, posted a series of critical tweets on April 2, 2026, targeting the Trump administration and Republican policies.

In her first tweet at 14:22 UTC, Jayapal wrote: “1 year since “liberation day” and the American people are continuing to get screwed over by the Trump administration.”

Later that afternoon, at 16:16 UTC, she stated: “Under Republicans, there’s always money for war, but nothing to actually help American families.”

Her third tweet at 17:36 UTC referenced Attorney General Bondi and the Epstein case: “AG Bondi called apologizing to the Epstein survivors getting into the “gutter.” Good riddance.”

Pramila Jayapal has represented Washington’s 7th district in Congress since replacing Jim McDermott in 2017. She previously served in the Washington State Senate from 2014 to 2016. Born in Chennai in 1965, Jayapal currently resides in Seattle. Her educational background includes a BA from Georgetown University (1986) and further studies at Northwestern University (1990).
