U.S. Representative Pramila Jayapal, who represents Washington’s 7th district in Congress, posted a series of tweets on September 17, 2025, addressing issues related to Kash Patel’s handling of the Epstein files and recent political fundraising efforts targeting Rep. Ilhan Omar.
In her first tweet at 18:05 UTC, Jayapal referenced statements made by Kash Patel earlier in the year regarding transparency: “There will be no cover-ups, no missing documents” & “we’re going to give you every single thing we have” Now: “No further disclosure would be appropriate or warranted” What changed? I think he discovered that Trump’s name is in the Epstein Files.
Later that evening at 19:48 UTC, Jayapal continued her criticism of Patel’s actions with another post: Kash Patel refused to answer if he has met with any of the women who were sexually assaulted or raped by Jeffrey Epstein. Why? Because he hasn’t. It’s all a big cover-up.
In a subsequent tweet at 21:11 UTC, Jayapal commented on Rep. Nancy Mace’s fundraising activities involving Rep. Ilhan Omar: Mace is fundraising by targeting someone who already receives death threats. This is extremely dangerous. @Ilhan is a fierce champion for her constituents. Mace’s censure doesn’t include a single quote from Rep. Omar and should go down in flames.
Pramila Jayapal has represented Washington’s 7th District since 2017 after succeeding Jim McDermott and previously served in the Washington State Senate from 2014 to 2016. Born in Chennai in 1965, she currently resides in Seattle and holds degrees from Georgetown University and Northwestern University.
