U.S. Representative Pramila Jayapal, who represents Washington’s 7th district in Congress, addressed a range of topics on March 27, 2026, through her social media posts, from support for local sports to criticism of former President Donald Trump’s immigration policies.

In her first post of the day, Jayapal expressed support for Seattle’s baseball team: “Sending good luck to our @mariners on opening day!! This year the series is ours https://t.co/HMxsgTxPdl” (March 27, 2026).

Later that morning, she shifted focus to immigration issues and the actions of the previous presidential administration. On March 27, 2026, Jayapal posted: “The Trump administration is traumatizing children through their cruel deportation campaign. Today, we’re hosting a hearing to fight for justice and the truth. Jayapal has served in Congress since replacing Jim McDermott in 2017 and previously held office in the Washington State Senate from 2014 to 2016. She was born in Chennai in 1965 and currently resides in Seattle. Her educational background includes degrees from Georgetown University and Northwestern University.
