Seattle Storm announces lineup of 2026 theme games and special events

The Seattle Storm announced on Mar. 26 a series of special theme nights and community-focused events for the upcoming 2026 season, introducing new celebrations while continuing established traditions. The schedule includes events such as Pride Night presented by BECU, Believe in Women presented by Symetra, and the annual Toy Drive benefiting Seattle Children’s Hospital. New additions to this year’s calendar include Black Excellence Night and Inclusion Night.

These events are designed to celebrate community, culture, and connection among fans throughout the season. Each game will feature unique experiences, limited-edition giveaways like a Dominique Malonga Funko! POP or Hello Kitty x Storm keychain, and opportunities for fans to engage with local causes.

Opening Night is set for Friday, May 8 against the Golden State Valkyries at Climate Pledge Arena with live music from DJ Blast and new merchandise available at the Team Shop. The team will also host Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Heritage Night on May 20 against the Connecticut Sun; Toy Drive on May 24 versus Washington Mystics; Black Excellence Game on June 12 featuring artist Yolanda Galery’s work; Storm Out Cancer Night supporting Providence Swedish Cancer Institute on June 22; Pride Night celebrating LGBTQ+ communities with artist Monyee Chau’s designs on June 27; two rivalry games against Portland Fire including July 4 festivities with fireworks; Inclusion Night focused on accessibility in sports with Special Olympics Washington receiving support from Premera Blue Cross; Kicks for Equality Sneakerball fundraising event August 16 featuring custom sneakers auctioned for local nonprofits; Native American Heritage Night honoring Indigenous peoples August 26 when Toronto Tempo visits Seattle; Back to School fan fest August 30 before facing Los Angeles Sparks; Believe in Women night September 17 recognizing female leaders in the community with art by Esmeralda Vasquez during halftime of their game against Las Vegas Aces;
and Fan Appreciation night September 23 where Dallas Wings visit Seattle as Amazon gifts woven blankets to early attendees.
