Seattle Storm point guard Nika Mühl will miss the 2026 Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament in her right knee, the team announced on April 1.

Mühl sustained the injury during a game on March 11 while representing Croatia in the FIBA Women’s EuroBasket Qualifiers. The successful surgical procedure took place on March 31, and she is now beginning her recovery process.

The team said that Mühl “will miss the 2026 WNBA Season” as she focuses on rehabilitation. Updates regarding her progress and potential return to play will be shared when available, according to Seattle Storm.

The absence of Mühl is expected to impact Seattle’s lineup for the upcoming season. She has been an important part of both her national team and club performances.

As she works towards recovery, fans and teammates await further updates about her rehabilitation timeline. The organization has not yet indicated who might fill her position during the coming season.
