The Seattle Storm announced on Apr. 11 that Natisha Hiedeman, a veteran guard and 2024 WNBA Commissioner’s Cup Champion, has signed with the team. The terms of the deal were not disclosed, in line with team policy.
Hiedeman’s signing is significant for the Storm as she brings both leadership and recent on-court success to Seattle. She is coming off what the team described as one of her most efficient seasons and is expected to play a leading role in the backcourt.
“A leader on the court and in the community, Natisha brings a competitive edge to our team,” said Storm General Manager Talisa Rhea. “Coming off one of the most efficient seasons of her career, she’s ready to be a lead guard in our backcourt. We are thrilled to welcome Natisha to Seattle.”
Hiedeman played for the Minnesota Lynx over the past two seasons, helping them reach both the 2025 WNBA Semi-Finals and 2024 WNBA Finals. In 2025, she appeared in every regular season game and achieved a career-high field goal percentage of 49.2%, while matching her personal best average of 9.1 points per game. She surpassed 1,500 career points during this period and was recognized with the Sylvia Fowles Altruism Award for her community contributions.
Originally from Green Bay, Wisconsin, Hiedeman was selected as the eighteenth overall pick in the 2019 draft by Minnesota before having her rights traded to Connecticut Sun. After time with Atlanta Dream and several years at Connecticut Sun—where she averaged seven points per game—she returned briefly to Minnesota Lynx ahead of joining Seattle.
Hiedeman also had a notable collegiate career at Marquette University where she was named Big East Player of the Year in 2019 and earned an AP Honorable Mention All-American selection.
