The Seattle Storm announced on April 12 that WNBA champion Stefanie Dolson has signed with the team. The terms of the deal were not disclosed, following team policy.
Dolson is recognized as a two-time All-Star and brings over a decade of experience to the Storm. Her addition is expected to strengthen the team’s roster and contribute veteran leadership as they continue to build for future seasons.
“Stef brings a championship pedigree and a veteran presence that aligns with our culture and our direction,” said Storm General Manager Talisa Rhea. “She’s the kind of player who elevates a locker room through her professionalism, consistency and approach to the game. Her versatility adds real value to our roster, and we’re excited for Stef to step into this group and be part of what we’re continuing to build here.”
Dolson spent her last two seasons with the Washington Mystics, where she averaged 24 minutes per game in 2024 while shooting a career-high 46.5% from three-point range. This performance earned her an appearance in the 2024 WNBA STARRY 3-Point Contest. In 2025, she played an average of 15.2 minutes per game with a field goal percentage of 42.3%. Throughout her career, Dolson has played for several teams including Chicago Sky—where she was traded in 2017—and New York Liberty, helping lead them to titles such as the Commissioner’s Cup in 2023.
“I’m so excited to join the Storm. They’ve set the standard in women’s basketball for years, and I look forward to being part of a team that prioritizes its players and is backed by an incredible fan base,” said Dolson. “I can’t wait to bring my veteran leadership and fun energy to the squad!”
Dolson’s basketball journey began at University of Connecticut where she won back-to-back NCAA Championships in 2013 and 2014 along with multiple individual honors including ACC Defensive Player of the Year (2014) and McDonald’s All-American (2010). Internationally, she has represented Team USA at various levels, winning four gold medals including being part of history during Team USA’s first-ever Olympic gold medal win in women’s basketball’s new discipline—3×3—at Tokyo Olympics.
The signing marks another step by Seattle Storm towards building on their legacy within women’s professional basketball.
