Seattle University announced on Apr. 28 the addition of guard Tyler Boston to its men’s basketball roster for the 2026-27 season. Boston transfers to the Redhawks after playing two seasons at Holy Cross.
The signing is notable as it brings a player with proven experience and versatility to Seattle University’s program. Head coach Chris Victor said, “We’re excited to welcome Tyler to Seattle U. Tyler is a true lead guard who can score, facilitate and impact the game in a variety of ways. His near triple double in the Patriot League Tournament this past season is a testament to the all-around versatility he will bring to our program.”
Boston started all 32 games during his sophomore year at Holy Cross, averaging 14.2 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game while shooting over forty-three percent from the field and nearly forty percent from three-point range. He scored a season-high twenty-five points against Providence and recorded seventeen points, nine rebounds, and fourteen assists in a Patriot League Tournament win over Lafayette.
In his freshman year, Boston earned Most Valuable Player honors at the College Hill Classic while averaging just over nine points per game with strong assist numbers for Holy Cross.
Off the court, Boston was named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll during his time at Holy Cross.
Before college, Boston played at Bullis School in Potomac, Maryland where he was selected first team All-Interstate Athletic Conference three times and helped secure back-to-back conference championships.
