Seattle University softball secured its third consecutive conference victory on Apr. 4 with a 6-1 win over Pacific, completing a series sweep at Bill Simoni Field in Stockton, California.

The win marks an important milestone for the Redhawks as they continue their West Coast Conference campaign. With this result, Seattle U improved to a 17-19 overall record and remains undefeated in conference play at 3-0.

Sophomore Abbie Fales led the offense by going three-for-three at the plate, including two doubles and scoring one run. Junior Avari Morris also tallied three hits, drove in one run, and scored once. Junior Mikee Morris contributed two hits and led the team with two runs scored. Senior Ava Sin hit a home run during a high-scoring second inning and finished the weekend series with nine runs batted in.

Freshman Kaia Galaviz started from the pitching circle for Seattle U, throwing four innings and recording two strikeouts against sixteen batters faced. Sophomore Maya Mesa pitched two innings with one strikeout, while junior Berkley Vance closed out the game by striking out one of three batters faced in her single inning of work.

Defensively, graduate Jay Ross recorded five putouts at first base. Juniors Karen Spadafora and Sophia Kissling along with senior Brooklyn Jones each had four putouts. Mikee Morris led all players with four assists from shortstop.

The Redhawks notched eleven hits for their second straight game reaching double digits in hits—a feat they have achieved eighteen times this season so far. Seattle U will return home next week to host Saint Mary’s for its first conference home series of the year during Alumni Weekend.
