Seattle University women’s golf team completes first West Coast Conference championship

The Seattle University women’s golf team finished its first championship as a member of the West Coast Conference on Apr. 27, with three players placing in the top 30. Freshmen and senior Tsara Ralamboarison led the Redhawks in their debut appearance at this conference event.

Blayne Brown was the team’s top performer, finishing in 16th place with a score of +8 over par, 224, and nine birdies. Her opening round score of +1 over par, 73, matched the best single-round result for Seattle U during the competition.

Senior Tsara Ralamboarison ended her collegiate career by placing 20th at +10 over par, 226, also recording nine birdies and an opening round of +1 over par. Zoe Rubichon finished her first postseason collegiate tournament in 28th place with a total score of +13 over par, highlighted by seven birdies and a second-round score of +1 over par.

Aaryanna Morris took 37th place with a final tally of +34 over par. Melissa Gilloz and Jeanne Padillo alternated rounds; Gilloz competed in rounds one and three to finish in 39th place while Padillo played round two.

The Redhawks concluded their season eighth out of eight teams after shooting a combined total of +55 over par as a group. The season included notable achievements such as winning the Bobcat Desert Classic and securing second place at the Dimante Intercollegiate. Ralamboarison’s performance stood out throughout her senior year; she recorded the program’s second-lowest individual round at -7 under par during the Dimante Intercollegiate and contributed to one of Seattle U’s best team rounds versus par.
