The Seattle University women’s golf team will travel to Goodyear, Arizona, for the Bobcat Desert Classic from April 13-15, according to an April 12 announcement. The tournament will be held at the Golf Course of Estrella and is hosted by Montana State. Play is scheduled to begin with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time each day.

This event marks the final regular season tournament for the Redhawks. Team members Zoe Rubichon, Blayne Brown, Tsara Ralamboarison, Jeanne Padillo and Aaryanna Morris are set to compete, while Melissa Gilloz will participate as an individual.

The Redhawks are aiming for improvement after finishing fifteenth out of seventeen teams at their previous event, the Huntington Bank Collegiate. In that tournament, freshman Zoe Rubichon was Seattle University’s top performer with a score of five over par (221) and ten birdies.

Seattle University last took part in the Bobcat Desert Classic in 2024. At that time, they finished second among seventeen teams and Rivekka Jumagulova won the individual title with a score of twelve under par (204), which stands as the second-lowest 54-hole finish in school history. Current team members Aaryanna Morris and Tsara Ralamboarison both placed within the top thirty individual finishers during that competition.

The results from this week’s tournament may help determine momentum as Seattle University heads into postseason play.
