Seattle University women’s rowing team competed at the Oregon State Invite on Dexter Reservoir on March 28, racing three boats against a field of West Coast Conference teams.

The event brought together Santa Clara, Portland, Gonzaga, and host Oregon State, making it the largest group of WCC programs that Seattle U will face before the conference championships later in the season. This was also the second consecutive competition where Seattle U raced against Portland.

In the varsity eight race, Seattle U finished with a time of 7:51.71. The Redhawks’ second varsity eight completed their course in 7:49.51. The team wrapped up their participation with a varsity four boat that clocked in at 9:51.04.

Race results show that Oregon State led both the varsity eight and second varsity eight events with times of 6:52.80 and 6:57.31 respectively. Other competitors included Gonzaga, Santa Clara, and Portland across various heats.

Seattle University is scheduled to return to action at the Portland Invite on Vancouver Lake on April 11.
