Seattle University women’s rowing completes regular season at Windermere Cup

Seattle University women’s rowing finished its regular season at the Windermere Cup and Twilight Sprints, according to a May 2 announcement. The team participated in several events over the weekend, entering varsity eight, second varsity eight, and varsity four races.

The event marks the end of the Redhawks’ regular season competition schedule. The performances set the stage for their upcoming participation in conference championships.

Before opening day, Seattle’s varsity eight competed in the Twilight Sprints on Friday evening against Washington and Seattle Pacific. The Redhawks finished fourth with a time of 2:03.9 in their sprint race.

On Saturday, Seattle’s varsity four started off by finishing third with a time of 9:01.827 against boats from Washington. The second varsity eight also placed third behind Washington and Gonzaga with a time of 7:23.19. The day concluded with the varsity eight posting a time of 7:21.006.

Seattle University is scheduled to compete next at the West Coast Conference Championships on Lake Natoma in California from May 15-16.
