Seattle University women’s rowing will travel to Northern California for a duel with Santa Clara on Saturday, April 24, according to an announcement from the university. The event will take place at Lexington Reservoir in Los Gatos.

The matchup is significant as it marks the second meeting between the Redhawks and Broncos within two weeks. Both teams previously competed at the Oregon State Invite and Pilots Invite.

Seattle University plans to race three boats against Santa Clara, including their varsity eight, junior varsity eight, and varsity four crews. During their last competition at the Pilots Invite, all three Seattle U boats showed improvement. The team highlighted its weekend performance with a third-place finish by its varsity four boat.

After this weekend’s duel in California, Seattle U will return home to Washington for opening day events next weekend. Following that, they are scheduled to head back to Northern California for their first ever conference championship race.

The upcoming races represent important opportunities for Seattle University’s women’s rowing program as they continue their season.
