Sounders FC played to a 1-1 draw against San Diego FC on May 10 at Lumen Field. The match saw Seattle’s Danny Musovski score a late equalizer after Marcus Ingvartsen put the visitors ahead in the first half.
The result keeps Seattle in fourth place in the Western Conference with 21 points and extends its unbeaten run in league play to eight matches. The club also continues its home unbeaten streak, now reaching a club-record 21 games across all competitions.
Musovski’s goal, scored in the 80th minute, was his third of the season across all competitions and his first in Major League Soccer this year. Cristian Roldan and Albert Rusnák provided assists on the play, marking their third and fourth assists respectively for the season. Head Coach Brian Schmetzer made one change to last week’s lineup by starting Rusnák instead of Musovski.
Seattle recorded a total of 27 shots with four on target during the match, while San Diego had 15 shots with five on target. Both teams committed nine fouls each. Attendance for the game was reported as 31,528 under clear skies and temperatures of 61 degrees.
Looking ahead, Sounders FC will continue its homestand with upcoming matches against San Jose Earthquakes on May 13 and LA Galaxy on May 16.
