Sounders FC defeated FC Dallas 2-1 at Lumen Field on June 3, moving up to fourth place in the Western Conference. The victory extended Seattle’s unbeaten streak in league play to six matches and brought their point total to 19 for the season.

Jesús Ferreira opened the scoring in the 15th minute with his first goal of the season, assisted by Jordan Morris and Jackson Ragen. It marked Ferreira’s first goal against his former club since joining Seattle from Dallas, where he played from 2017 through 2024. Morris added a second goal for Seattle in the 30th minute—his first of the year and his record-setting 92nd across all competitions for Sounders FC—with Snyder Brunell providing the assist.

FC Dallas responded with a goal from Nolan Norris, assisted by Santiago Moreno, in the 40th minute. Despite this effort, Seattle maintained its lead through disciplined play and effective substitutions throughout the match. The lineup featured changes from last weekend’s game against St. Louis, as head coach Brian Schmetzer rotated several players into starting roles.

The match drew an attendance of 31,785 at Lumen Field under clear weather conditions. Referee Tori Penso officiated alongside assistants Brooke Mayo and Kathryn Nesbitt. Both teams had similar numbers of shots on target—Seattle recorded nine total shots with six on goal, while Dallas managed ten shots with five on target.

Seattle now holds a home unbeaten streak against FC Dallas that extends back more than a decade; their only loss came on May 25, 2011. Additionally, Sounders FC is currently enjoying a club-record twenty-match home unbeaten run across all competitions dating back to June of last year.

Schmetzer’s side will travel next week to face Sporting Kansas City at Sporting Park.
