Sounders FC is set to face Tigres UANL in the quarterfinals of the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup, according to a March 21 announcement from Concacaf. The two-leg aggregate series will begin with Seattle traveling to Estadio Universitario in San Nicolás de los Garza, Mexico on April 8, followed by the second leg at Lumen Field on April 15.

This matchup is significant as it marks Seattle’s return to the tournament’s quarterfinal stage for the first time since 2022, when the club became the first Major League Soccer team to win the continental championship. The series also features four inter-league matchups between teams from Major League Soccer and Liga MX.

Seattle earned home advantage for the second leg after finishing second in the competition’s cumulative table, following a 5-1 aggregate victory over Vancouver in the Round of 16. The club’s six points, plus-four goal differential, and five goals scored were only surpassed by LA Galaxy, who defeated Mount Pleasant of Jamaica with a score of 6-0. Tigres enters this round ranked seventh after advancing past FC Cincinnati with a narrow 5-4 aggregate win.

Tickets for Seattle’s home match on April 15 will go on sale March 23 through SoundersFC.com/Tickets. Season Ticket Members will have access starting at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time, while sales open to the general public at 3:00 p.m. Broadcast details for both matches are expected to be announced later by Concacaf.

Before their quarterfinal clash with Tigres, Sounders FC will travel to face Minnesota United FC on March 22 at Allianz Field.
