Cost of college went up for all students at North Seattle College

Tuition and fees rose 3.7 percent for 2018-19 at North Seattle College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Washington students paid $4,461 to attend the four-year public institution this year – $159 more than the $4,302 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 42 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 70 students received grants or scholarships totaling $511,159 and 19 students took out student loans totaling more than $102,372.

Including all undergraduates (5,929), 1,689 students used grants or scholarships totaling $9.6 million, and 271 students took out $1.7 million in federal student loans.
