Cost of college went up for all students at Seattle Pacific University

Tuition and fees rose 5 percent for 2018-19 at Seattle Pacific University, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Washington students paid $42,939 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $2,046 more than the $40,893 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 99 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 634 students received grants or scholarships totaling $16.8 million and 402 students took out student loans totaling more than $2.8 million.

Including all undergraduates (3,688), 2,734 students used grants or scholarships totaling $66.3 million, and 1,704 students took out $12.3 million in federal student loans.
