Critical Insight™ Security is fueling its success and growth with the promotion of Kristoffer Turner to vice president of Security Operations, and an addition of Steve Sedlock as chief revenue officer.

“Kristoffer Turner has such a wonderful story,” Chief Marketing Officer, Jake Milstein, told The Seattle Sounder. “He started as a cyber security analysis. He is a wonderful guy and is loved by everyone. He worked his way up and moved up the ranks quickly.”

Milstein said that Turner's job focuses more on the day-to-day operations of overseeing security.

“We knew we needed someone at the highest level of security to oversee the day-to-day security and operations, and we just have the most wonderful person to do that,” Milstein said.

Milstein said that the primary focus for Sedlock will be to bring in more organizations to the company.

“Steve is going to get the word out to more organizations that we are the right fit for them,” Milstein said. “Steve will help us get to the next level of growth.”

Milstein said that 2020 was a rough year for the information-technology security sectors due to not only several ransomware attacks on organizations but also attacks focused on government municipalities. One security attack Milstein noted that was specific for government agencies was that by Tyler Tech.

“Cyber criminals are after personal info and money. The best way to get those for them is through municipalities, hospitals, other healthcare facilities and manufacturers that do not have that sit down time to spend on security,” Milstein said.

Milstein explained that CI Security is very mission focused company, with that mission being based on “protecting organizations that serve our communities needing help.”

Last year, CI Security held “a bunch of free events for those who do not have $4,000 to spend on security,” to give back to the community during the tough year everyone was experiencing, Milstein said. He said the events had a large number of attendance.

Milstein said CI Security recognizes not all organizations can spend millions and millions on cyber security like that of Wells Fargo, or other billion dollar companies, but part of CI Security’s mission includes knowing these organizations deserve the same kind of security to help protect them.

“One of the things that we have found is that our customers are typically organizations with relatively small IT or security teams. That doesn’t mean attackers go after them less, actually attackers go after them more. What we are going to do this year is help them help build more security,” Milstein said.

According the company's website, Critical Insight™ Security “combines Managed Detection and Response with a complete suite of cyber security.”
