Seattle University is leading the ranks in the list of the United States' most diverse college campuses.
Out of 3,514 schools across the nation, Seattle University ranked 101th in diversity, based on a College Factual report. The university also rated second out of Washington's 67 colleges for variety in the student body.
"As a Jesuit institution dedicated to whole-person education, we believe there is no dichotomy between academic excellence and diversity, equity and inclusion," university vice president for diversity and inclusion Natasha Martin said in a release. "We are stronger precisely because of the varied backgrounds and experiences represented by the diversity of our student body."
The College Factual reported that more than 41% of Seattle University's undergraduate student population are racial minorities.
Additionally, the student body is more than 60% women, Seattle University said.
"Seattle U. could not have earned this ranking without excellent diversity in student race/ethnicity, ages, genders and geographic location," College Factual said.
